Shipping Policy

1. Introduction

This Shipping Policy describes how Colors Of Wardrobe (“we”, “us”, “our”, or “the Company”) handles the processing, shipping and delivery of orders placed through our website (colorsofwardrobe.com) or any of our sales channels. By placing an order with us, you agree to the terms described in this policy.

2. Order Processing Time

  • After you place an order, we typically take [1–3 business days] to process and prepare the order for shipping (packaging, quality check, dispatch). Orders placed on weekends or public holidays may be processed on the next working day.

  • During high-volume periods (festivals, sale events) processing time may take a bit longer; we will notify you if there is a delay.

3. Shipping Methods & Carriers

  • We dispatch orders using reputable courier and logistics partners across India.

  • We offer standard shipping by default. Additional shipping methods (e.g. expedited or express shipping) may be available depending on your location — these will be shown during checkout. 

  • For customers located in or around our warehouse / starting city, we may offer local or expedited delivery (if applicable).

4. Shipping Costs & Free-Shipping Threshold

  • Shipping cost will be calculated at checkout based on your delivery address, order volume/weight (if applicable), and the shipping method selected. 

  • If we offer free shipping, that will be for orders above a certain cart value or during promotional periods we'll clearly communicate those conditions on the site.

  • For orders below the free-shipping threshold, shipping cost will be displayed at checkout before payment.

5. Estimated Delivery Time / Transit Times

  • Once dispatched, your order will normally reach you in [5–10 business days] (for most Indian locations). This is only an estimate; actual delivery time depends on your pin code, courier partner and local conditions.

  • For orders to remote or hard-to-reach locations, delivery may take slightly longer  we ask for your patience in such cases.

  • Delivery time estimates will be shown at checkout and/or in order confirmation. 

6. Order Confirmation & Tracking

  • Once your order is shipped, we will send you a shipment confirmation email/SMS containing the courier tracking number and a link to track your package (if tracking is available). 

  • You can track your order status via the courier’s website or through our website (if we provide a tracking interface).

7. Delivery & Risk of Loss

  • The order will be delivered to the address you have provided at checkout. Please ensure that the shipping address is complete and correct.

  • Once the package is handed over to the courier, the risk of loss or damage passes to the customer. We are not responsible for loss/damage caused by courier mishandling, incorrect address, or third-party delays.

  • Upon delivery, please inspect the package. If there is obvious damage, you may refuse to accept the package and immediately notify us.

8. Shipping Restrictions & Exceptions

  • At present, we ship only within India. We do not ship to international addresses.

  • Certain remote areas, P.O. boxes, or restricted pin codes may have longer delivery times or may not be serviceable if those apply, we will inform you during checkout. 

  • Pre-order items or products requiring special handling, tailoring or customization may take additional processing time; delivery estimates will reflect this at checkout.

9. Lost or Damaged Shipments & Customer Responsibility

  • If a shipment is lost in transit or marked delivered but not received please contact us within [7 days] of the expected delivery date. We will coordinate with the courier and help you track or claim the package.

  • If a package arrives damaged please keep the outer packaging and photos of the damage; then contact us immediately. We will review and decide on a possible replacement or refund based on the damage.

  • We are not responsible for delays due to external factors beyond our control (e.g. courier delays, natural disasters, strikes, customs clearance if any, official holidays).

10. Returns, Exchanges & Reverse Shipping 

  • This Shipping Policy addresses dispatch and delivery. For returns, exchanges or refunds, please refer to our separate Returns & Refund Policy. However if you are returning an item, the cost and method of return shipment (who bears reverse-shipping cost) will be as specified in the Returns Policy.

11. Changes to Shipping Policy

We reserve the right to modify or update this Shipping Policy at any time (for example, due to changes in courier charges, business operations, or legal requirements). When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Continued use of the website and placing orders constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
